Ratio Calculator

A ratio expresses the relative sizes of two or more values, showing how much of one thing there is compared to another (e.g. 2:3).

Use cross-multiplication: A × D = B × C. If one value is unknown (e.g., X), solve the resulting linear equation.

Divide both terms of the ratio by their Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) until no common factors remain.

A ratio compares part-to-part or part-to-whole quantities, whereas a fraction specifically represents a part of a whole.
